« A family passion since 1929 »
Our story begins in 1929, when my grandfather decided to market, under the signature Pierre Amadieu, the bottles from the 7 hectares of Gigondas vineyards passed down from generation to generation. In 1950, he fell under the spell and bought the Romane and La Machotte estates, which were neglected at the time. The estate grew and he was soon joined by my father in 1967. Today, the torch has been passed to me, and I take care of the vinification and maturing of the wines.
Our cuvée La Grangelière perpetuates the spirit of our family, respecting the terroirs and traditions. It happily combines the fruity and full-bodied wines from different terraces in Vacqueyras. Scents of undergrowth and red berries with hints of vanilla evolve on the palate towards the fullness and power of peppery and spicy notes.
