Bernard Burle
Domaine Font Sarade has been a family estate since 1936. Created by René Devine, his son André, quickly took over the estate and created the name Font Sarade (Fontaine fermée in patois). It was only in 2002 that Bernard Burle, his son-in-law, took over the business and began to bottle his wine. Starting with a production of 2,000 bottles, we sell more than 130,000 bottles today, and we export 70% of our production.
The estate is located in the north of the Vacqueyras appellation, and we farm on 35 hectares consisting of 20 hectares in Vacqueyras and the rest spread over other appellations such as Gigondas, Ventoux, Côtes du Rhône, Plan de Dieu and IGP Vaucluse.
Claire Burle, his daughter, joined the estate in 2014, and a new winery was opened in 2015. We work our vines with great care and respect our terroirs. Given our numerous appellations, our terroirs are our asset.
