The vintages

climate

After a winter of plenty of rain, the warm spring boosted growth and flowering was fast. The summer was hot and marked by a strong mistral which dried and concentrated the grapes. The region hadn’t known such a windy end of summer in 30 years (11 days of wind speed of over 50 km per hour).

harvest

The cool nights were beneficial for the skin maturity which was starting to lag. The harvest was done à la carte and the winemakers’ experience and wisdom took care of the rest.

characteristics

These red wines have a nice fruity colour (black fruit) with hints of heathland, and notable, elegant tannins.
